My dilemma for the Makar Sankrant Fest!
So, the New Year has just docked in and there is still that winter hue a part of the weather. And, while most of us are busy making New Year Resolution, there are people like me, who, along with it are awaiting the first festival of the year- the Makar Sankranti. It is also known by other names including, Pongal/Lohri/Bihu/Uttarayan/Khichdi/Poush Sangkranti and is celebrated round the country.
The festival is set by the solar cycle of the Hindu calendar, thus observed on the same day every year, the January 14th. The common ritual which people, perform during the festival involve,
- Giving gifts to the married women along with suhag items
- Making and eating til and jaggery made delicacies
- Giving khichdi to the Brahman
- Flying kite
- Taking a dip in the holy river
- Preparing traditional delicacies.
While I have been taking care of almost all the aspects of the festival with complete efficiency, it is the gift part which always leads me to a dilemma. After all, it should be exquisite and beautiful yet something which could be used by women.
Browsing the internet for some bangles or the like, I reached the site of Nirmitti (we need the website link here), and it left me awestruck. The most gorgeous rajasthani kada, kada bracelet, layered beaded bracelets and rajwadi chuda were available. And, these are just to name a few.
I have had a word with the owner and have already ordered 21 sets of chuda. So, well, I am definitely sorted for the upcoming festival.
Go ahead, buy shell bangles in indore, buy metal bangles online in indore or even indulge in buying kundan bracelet online in indore with Nirmitti. You can purchase them online with ease.
They have the quality, the design and the variety you will not find anywhere in the city.
Happy Makar Sankranti people!
Enjoy and relish!
